Ahh, the distant memories of the beginning, the start of the vision, the dream, the promise of what lay ahead. The moments in the beginning are filled with anticipation and excitement. The end seems far away in the beginning but in the middle some how time accelerates. There emerges a sense of urgency. Time seems to be more prevalent. The early years of my career were spent implementing information technology projects that enhance or streamline business processes. The later years have been spent on building organizational capacity for project management and business transformation. My career has been fulfilling, rewarding and challenging. The hardest part of any change, is managing transitions. I struggle with the transition between sleeping and waking. I have no trouble sleeping, and once I'm up, I am fine for the day. But falling asleep and waking up is difficult. I've also noticed that the most difficult part of running, is not running, but rather it is the transition between sitting and exercising.
